Sara Franko lives in LaGrange Park with her husband, Jim, two daughters Violet (4) and Amelia (2), and a 90-pound rescue dog named Ruby. While pregnant with her first daughter in Chicago in 2010, Sara discovered Fit4Baby, FIT4MOM's prenatal fitness class. Since most of her friends had already had babies, she enjoyed bonding and sharing experiences with the other soon-to-be moms in her class. After her oldest daughter was born, she moved on to Stroller Strides classes, but soon found herself moving to the suburbs. Two years later she became the proud owner of FIT4MOM - Chicago Western Suburbs.
Sara is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor, focused on providing safe, yet effective workouts for pre- and post-natal moms. She loves meeting amazing and inspiring moms, is the unofficial "baby whisperer" at Stroller Strides classes, and loves burpees!
Carly and her husband Kevin recently moved back to Riverside, IL from NYC with their son Jake who just turned one. Carly was an avid runner and competed in half and full marathons pre-Jake, but pregnancy took its toll on her fitness level and fitness confidence. She was anxious to get back in shape and regain her strength and endurance. Carly says, "I love Stroller Strides because I can have Jake with me while I get in a great workout and build confidence thanks to the encouragement and motivation from moms who understand!"more
Ashley Papanikolas discovered FIT4MOM shortly after her first son was born in St. Louis. As a new mom with few “mom friends,” she took the classes religiously, finding it a great outlet to connect with other moms, socialize her baby and get back into pre-baby shape. After taking the class again when she moved to Downers Grove, Ashley decided to re-visit her background in fitness and start teaching FIT4MOM classes.
Currently a Body Back instructor in the Downers Grove/Westmont area and certified in AFAA group fitness, Ashley has four years of group fitness experience and has taught several class formats. She currently also serves as the Marketing Manager on the team, organizing events and spreading the news for FIT4MOM in hopes to pass on the FIT4MOM team’s love for fitness to other moms on their fitness and motherhood journeys.

I love my family- I am a mom of 2, Eva and Levi, and my husband Tyler is the youth pastor at Cornerstone Community Church in Brookfield. I have always had a deep appreciating for exercise and staying healthy and doing things in a more "natural" way. I also have an overwhelming love for people and relationship. Fit4mom combines all 3 of these things that I love into one and I couldn't be more thrilled and honored to be a part of such an awesome experience and community.more
Emily lives in La Grange with her husband, Bobby, and their 3 boys, Brian, Matt, and Jack. Before staying at home full time, she was a teacher for 6 years for grades K-2. Emily has always enjoyed being involved in sports and trying out all of the different classes the fitness world has to offer. Becoming a mom helped motivate her even more to stay fit, not only to keep up with her active boys, but to also be a good role model for them.
After trying only 1 Stroller Strides class, she realized it was a perfect combo of her 2 passions, fitness and teaching, and decided to become a Stroller Strides instructor.
Joanna is "mama" to three beautiful kiddos -- her little ones, Lucas (3) and Lorenzo (3 months), and her stepdaughter, Vanessa (15). Originally from Downers Grove, she spent more than ten years with her husband, Felipe, in the city before they embraced suburban life and settled in LaGrange Park. When Joanna is not juggling the joys of motherhood, she is teaching middle school reading in Oak Brook, finding delicious paleo InstantPot recipes, and bopping around to different exercise offerings throughout the area. Of all the gyms and classes Joanna has tried, Fit4Mom has left the most powerful impact. Joanna's Fit4Mom journey began when she was pregnant with her first son. She loved the support she got in Fit4Baby classes, so she began a long series of Body Back sessions. It was not long before Joanna learned just how awesome it is to work out alongside other moms who just seem to get it -- and both her body and confidence as a new mom were transformed. Joanna embraces the opportunity to welcome other moms to start or continue their fitness journey, so they, too, can fall in love with this amazing village.more
Becky Kostelny lives in Elmhurst with her husband, Dan, son, Samuel (3), daughter Elliana (1), and dog, Lucy. She graduated from The University of Iowa in Mass Communications with a concentration in Women’s Health. She served as the state spokesperson for the American Heart Association and kicked off the Go Red for Women campaign for the entire state of Iowa. She moved to Illinois over a decade ago and remained in the healthcare field serving as an Associate Executive Director for an Allied Health School in the suburbs before leaving and starting her own international Human Resource consulting firm. Once Elliana came along she decided to cut back on her fulltime consulting clients and consults now only on projects while being a stay at home mom. After struggling to lose the baby weight; after having two babies in two years, she joined Body Back in Downers Grove and gradually fell in love with it. Becky says, “It’s amazing to be able to plan for some special me time during the week while getting an amazing workout followed by an inspirational mediation – it reenergizes me for the week!” Having a natural love for women’s health along with a desire to coach she knew she would love transitioning from being a client to being a coach for Body Back!
Sonya lives in Oak Park with her husband and daughter. She’s originally from New York but has lived on both coasts of the US and is now happy to settle into the Midwest. Strength training and HIIT workouts are her favorite ways to get her body moving. She hopes to inspire women to find their strength and power as well!more
Tricia lives in Downers Grove with husband John and daughter Evelyn (almost 2). Tricia has always been an avid runner…a collegiate Cross Country and Track & Field athlete moving on to half marathons and marathons post college. She has completed five marathons, including qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon in 2013.Building her fitness level back up after pregnancy was harder, lonelier and more frustrating than expected. Tricia discovered Stroller Strides in the summer of 2017. It was a like striking gold- a place to meet other moms and get a great workout in at the same time! It was a way for her daughter to meet other little ones too! As a stay-at-home mom, it was perfect for her schedule and being able to work out with her daughter was key. Tricia is very excited to be a part of the FIT4MOM team!
